Hemangiopericytoma (HPC) is a rare type of soft-tissue sarcoma that originates from pericytes (cells lining the walls of capillaries and small blood vessels). Because of its vascular nature, it can develop anywhere in the body, but it is most commonly found in the extremities, pelvis, retroperitoneum, and meninges (brain and spinal cord). [1, 2, 3, 4]
